Scope

This accessibility statement applies to the online shop of Sahara Urban GmbH (German limited liability company (GmbH)), Sahara Urban GmbH, Teltower Damm 26, 14169 Berlin, Germany. The online shop is an e-commerce service within the meaning of Section 1 (3) No. 5 of the German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG). With this statement we fulfil our information obligations under Section 14 (2) BFSG in conjunction with Annex 3 to the BFSG.

Description of the service

The online shop allows you to order our food products and merchandise. It offers browsing by category and a search function, a shopping cart, a checkout without a customer account, payment via a payment service provider, a confirmation by e-mail and an order status page that you can reach via the link in your order confirmation.

How the accessibility requirements are met

The accessibility of the shop is measured against the requirements of the Ordinance to the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSGV) and the European standard EN 301 549 in conjunction with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA. In particular, the shop implements the following:

• Every page carries a language attribute so that screen readers choose the correct pronunciation.
• A skip link at the top of each page leads directly to the content.
• All functions can be operated entirely with the keyboard; the active element is visibly highlighted.
• The pages have a consistent heading structure.
• Product images have alternative texts.
• Interactive controls are at least 44 pixels wide and high.
• The layout can be enlarged to 200 percent and adapts to small screens without loss of content or functionality.
• Form fields are labelled; errors are explained in text form directly at the affected field.
• Before placing a binding order you see a complete summary of your order; you receive the confirmation in text form by e-mail.
• Legal texts are available as structured text within the shop, not as PDF files.

Status of compliance with the requirements

Based on our self-assessment, the shop largely meets the requirements. Known limitations: We are currently not aware of any limitations. We re-examine the shop whenever it changes.
