Cancellation Policy

This English version is provided for convenience. The German version ("Widerrufsbelehrung") is legally binding; in case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

Consumers have the following right of cancellation. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.

Right of cancellation

You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, take possession of the goods. If you have ordered several goods in a single order that are delivered separately, the period begins on the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, take possession of the last item.

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us (Sahara Urban GmbH (German limited liability company (GmbH)), Sahara Urban GmbH, Teltower Damm 26, 14169 Berlin, Germany, e-mail: info@saharaimbiss.de, phone: +49 151 29404197) of your decision to cancel this contract by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the model cancellation form below, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.

Consequences of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us (Sahara Urban GmbH, Teltower Damm 26, 14169 Berlin, Germany) without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exclusion and early expiry of the right of cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts

• for the supply of goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (Section 312g (2) no. 2 BGB). In our range this concerns in particular freshly made food that must be refrigerated and has a short shelf life, such as sauces with a short best-before period. Whether a product falls under this exception is indicated on the product page.
• for the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (Section 312g (2) no. 1 BGB), where we offer such goods, for example individually printed textiles.

The right of cancellation expires early in the case of contracts

• for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery (Section 312g (2) no. 3 BGB). In our range this concerns food in sealed packaging, for example spices, tea and sauces, as soon as the seal or original packaging has been opened. Unopened goods can be returned within the cancellation period.

Goods not covered by these exceptions – for example textiles and mugs, provided they were not individually made, or unopened food and gift boxes – can be cancelled as described above.

Notes on returns

Please return the goods, if possible, in their original packaging and with all components to the address stated above. If possible, enclose a note with your order number; this speeds up processing but is not a requirement for your cancellation. We cannot accept unpaid (freight collect) shipments.
